Partner Showcase - Genesis Cheer
Continuing our partner showcase, we have another cheer team who we are very excited to be able to work with, Leeds based local and national level team Genesis Cheer!
The following is taken from Genesis Cheer.
The club has been in existence for just under 12 months and we have members from age 3 to 25+. We take what we do very seriously – it’s a demanding discipline which combines elements of gymnastics, dance and sports acrobatics.
As a team, Genesis takes a fresh approach to sports participation. We charge the lowest monthly membership fees in the area in order to maximise the number of people that benefit from what we do. Athletes must learn teamwork, perseverance and physical fitness in order to thrive at our sport and there is a strong culture of good sportsmanship and of treating others with dignity and respect.
Our Mission
Our flagship team, Genesis Cheer Intensity, comprises of males and females aged from 14 upwards and competes at the highest level at national competitions. We train intensively over a number of weekends and entering our third competitive season and planning our second trip the the World cheerleading Championships in Disneyland, Florida. Our highly experienced coaches attract athletes from all over the country and we have members from as far afield as Bournemouth and South Wales.
We also have a number of lower level teams for various ages who train in Leeds on a weekly bases. The hopes for these athletes is to eventually gain the skills and mentality required to move up to Intensity one day.
This year we are also adding dance to our list of classes for the season. Starting with hip-hop we have plans to eventually expand into other areas of dance.
